The Giant Snow Globe Range — Six Themed Globes for Every Season
This is the full GlobeHire giant snow globe range: six themed variants of the same 3.5-metre, step-inside attraction. Four are seasonal scenes — Christmas, Easter, Halloween and Summer — and two are all-year game globes, the Golden Ball Globe and the Cash Grabber Globe. Every globe is fully brandable to your marketing message or brand guidelines, dressed with themed props and installed, operated and de-rigged by our own crew. Additional props can also be hired at a cost. For sizes, power, staffing, coverage and pricing, see giant snow globe hire in the UK.

Giant Snow Globe Specifications & Requirements
All six globes share the same 3.5-metre structure, so the space, power, crew and compliance requirements are the same whichever theme you hire.
- Structure
- One 3.5-metre walk-in globe on a steel and timber stage, used across all six variants.
- Footprint
- Equipment 3.5m x 3.5m x 3.5m high; operational area 5.5m x 5.5m with 4m clear height, plus a queueing area sized to your expected footfall.
- Power
- Two standard 13A sockets — 1.8 kVA / 8.0A. Where there is no suitable mains supply we recommend the client arranges a safe generator solution; generator hire is not provided.
- Group size
- Up to 8 children or up to 6 adults at one time, with a recommended minimum age of 3 years. Group management remains subject to safe operation and operator judgement.
- Staffing
- Two GlobeHire operational staff as standard. Additional staffing can be arranged for break cover, extended hours, split shifts or particular event requirements.
- Access
- A minimum clear width of 0.85m through doorways and corridors. Kit ordinarily arrives in a panel van roughly equivalent to a Citroën Relay L2H2.
- Accessibility
- Not step-free: entry is up approximately two conventional steps with a threshold lip of around four inches. We do not currently operate a purpose-built wheelchair-accessible globe — please discuss access requirements before booking.
- Snow medium
- Christmas globe uses an eco artificial snow made from vegetable starch derived from potato and turnip. On multi-day installs it is refreshed daily, topped up where needed, and contaminated snow is removed and disposed of through organic-waste recycling where appropriate.
- Outdoor ballast
- For outdoor installations we normally operate with 200 kg of ballast, distributed appropriately beneath and throughout the staged framework.
- Weather
- The attraction does not operate above 24 mph (38 km/h) — an upper limit rather than a target. Wind is measured on site with an anemometer before opening and re-checked during operation, and the crew may suspend earlier. Light rain is usually workable; torrential rain means a pause and possible deflection to protect the globe; heavy snowfall may mean suspension.
- Session length
- Around 60–90 seconds per group on the seasonal globes. On the Golden Ball and Cash Grabber globes the format and timing are adapted to the campaign rather than fixed to one compulsory duration.
- Throughput
- Around 16–20 groups per hour on the seasonal globes, and higher on the game globes where turns are shorter — the exact figure depends on the format agreed for your campaign.
- Compliance documents
- Available where applicable or requested: £10 million public liability insurance, site and event RAMS, PAT documentation, material and fire certification, and inspection logs.
- Install
- Delivered, installed and dressed by our own crew, typically around two to three hours from arrival to ready.
- Siting
- All six variants can be operated indoors or outdoors, subject to suitable site and weather conditions. Indoors is generally preferable where practical, because a controlled environment gives more predictable presentation — the appearance and tension of PVC varies with temperature.
- Branding
- Printed internal backdrop, branded external skirt, printed literature and event signage, produced to your artwork or brand guidelines. Allow a minimum of three weeks before the event for artwork sign-off and printing.
- Compliance
- Site-specific risk assessment and method statement plus £10 million public liability cover.
- Hire length
- From a single day up to a seasonal residency of several weeks, quoted at a reduced daily rate for longer runs.
Giant Snow Globe Hire FAQs
These come up in almost every enquiry, so here are the answers up front.
How many giant snow globes are available to hire?
Six. The Christmas, Easter, Halloween and Summer giant snow globes are seasonal scenes, and the Golden Ball and Cash Grabber globes are all-year game variants. All six use the same 3.5-metre walk-in structure.
How many people can go through a globe in a day?
About one group every three minutes at the fastest, which is roughly 20 groups an hour. Over a typical six to eight hour trading day that is around 95 to 140 groups.
How much space and power does a globe need?
The equipment is 3.5m wide x 3.5m deep x 3.5m high, and we ask for a 5.5m x 5.5m operational area with 4m clear height, plus a suitable queueing area judged on your expected footfall. Power is two standard 13A sockets (1.8 kVA / 8.0A); where there is no mains supply, the client arranges a suitable safe generator.
Can the globe be branded?
Yes. The exterior wrap, base skirt and interior backdrop are dressed to your marketing message or brand guidelines, so every photo taken inside carries your campaign with it.
Do you provide risk assessments and insurance?
Every booking includes a site-specific risk assessment and method statement and £10 million public liability cover. The documents can be downloaded before you book.
How much does giant snow globe hire cost?
We quote each booking individually because duration, indoor or outdoor siting, opening hours, theming and location all change the cost. Longer runs are quoted at a reduced daily rate.
