Branded globe activation hire for marketing campaigns
Brand activation hire wraps the walk-in globe in your campaign so every visit produces a branded photo and, if you want one, a captured opt-in. It works as a prize game, a content set or a sampling hub, and our crew run the mechanic for you.

Who is brand activation hire for?
It suits teams who need a physical reason for people to visit, stay longer and share the visit — without taking on the staffing, safety or logistics themselves.
Brand and campaign managers
Teams who need a physical moment that produces measurable content and data rather than just visibility.
Experiential and creative agencies
Agencies who want a proven, insured, crewed asset they can dress to a client concept without building from scratch.
Product launch and roadshow teams
Anyone running the same activation across several cities and needing a consistent, repeatable set-up.
Sponsorship teams
Brands activating a sponsorship at a market, festival or retail destination who need to own a photo moment on site.
What problems does it solve?
It fixes the gap between attracting footfall and holding it: something worth queueing for, run by someone else, with the compliance paperwork already done.
Activations that get looked at, not used
Stepping inside gives people a reason to engage rather than walk past, and a queue signals value to everyone else on site.
No content coming back
The interior is designed as a photo set, so the campaign message is in shot every time, with share prompts and optional data capture to turn those shots into reach.
Weak data capture
Prize-game and photo-delivery formats give a natural, non-pushy reason to collect an opt-in at the exit.
Bespoke builds cost too much to repeat
One insured, crewed structure redressed per campaign is far cheaper than fabricating a set for each activation.
Venue and landlord approvals
We supply site-specific RAMS, method statements and £10 million cover, which is usually what stalls agency-led activations.
What are the benefits?
A small footprint, a predictable operating model, branding on every photo taken inside, and documentation your venue can sign off before you commit.
- Fully printed exterior wrap, base skirt and interior backdrop to your brand guidelines.
- Campaign mechanics built in: prize grab, content capture, sampling or data opt-in.
- Crewed by trained staff who deliver the brief consistently across every day and every city.
- Compact 3.5m equipment in a 5.5m × 5.5m operational area — fits concourses, forecourts, squares and event villages.
- Every visit produces a branded photo the guest takes away and shares.
- Insured and documented, so venue approval isn't the thing that kills the idea.
How does the service work?
You bring the campaign and artwork; we supply the globe, the mechanic and the crew. We print the dressing, build on site, run timed entries with a scripted brief, and hand you the content and data at the end.
Step by step
- 1Campaign briefWe start from the objective — reach, content, data or sampling — and recommend the globe build and mechanic that serves it.
- 2Mechanic designWe agree the guest journey: entry, what happens inside, what they leave with, and where the opt-in or sample sits.
- 3Artwork and printYou supply artwork to template; we print and fit the wrap, base skirt and interior backdrop. Allow three weeks from sign-off.
- 4Site and permissionsWe confirm footprint, power and access for each site and issue site-specific RAMS and insurance for landlord approval.
- 5Build and briefCrew build and dress on site, then run through the script so every guest gets the same message.
- 6Activation daysTimed group entries throughout opening hours, with crew managing flow, safety, resets and the mechanic itself.
- 7Wrap-up and reportingYou receive throughput figures and any opt-in data collected after de-rig.
What options are available?
You choose the season and theme, the level of branding, the crewing model, the content capture and the run length. Additional props can also be hired at a cost.
Prize grab format
The Cash Grabber build turns the globe into a timed grab game with vouchers, tokens or branded prizes.
Premium content set
The Golden Ball build gives a high-shine, luxury-feel interior for launches and premium brands.
Seasonal tie-in
Christmas, Easter, Halloween and summer builds let a brand ride an existing seasonal moment.
Guest-generated content
Photo-ready set dressing, share prompts and optional data capture so guests create and post their own mobile-phone content carrying your call to action.
Hosts and performers
Brand ambassadors or costumed performers to greet, brief and collect opt-ins.
Multi-city roadshow
The same build, crew and mechanic repeated across several locations, quoted as a tour rather than as separate hires.
What materials, products and kit are supplied?
Everything arrives with us: the 3.5-metre structure, the blower and guarded internal fan, the seasonal medium, ballast, lighting, cabling and the dressing. You supply the space and access to two standard 13A sockets.
The 3.5m globe structure
A 3.5-metre walk-in dome on a weighted base, with a clear front panel and a zipped entry. The structure itself is 3.5m × 3.5m × 3.5m; in operation it needs a 5.5m × 5.5m area with 4m of clear height, plus separate queueing space.
Continuous-flow blower and internal fan
A low-noise blower holds the structure inflated for the whole session, and a guarded internal fan lifts the medium only when guests throw it toward the fan themselves.
Snow medium and seasonal alternatives
Eco artificial snow for winter builds — made from vegetable starch derived from potato and turnip, dry and non-toxic, with material and fire certification available on request — plus petals for spring, leaves for autumn and lightweight confetti or printed vouchers for brand games. All swept, collected and re-bagged between sessions.
Anchoring and ballast
Indoors the base is weighted and cable routes are matted and taped. Outdoors we add ballast to the manufacturer's pattern and monitor wind against a written stand-down limit.
Lighting and power
Warm interior lighting plus exterior wash, running from two standard 13A sockets — 1.8 kVA / 8.0A in total. Where no suitable mains supply exists, we recommend the client arranges a safe generator solution; we do not currently provide generator hire.
Branding and dressing
Printed exterior wrap, base skirt and interior backdrop, plus themed props: tree, snowman, egg display, pumpkins or product plinths. Additional props can be hired at a cost.
Campaign mechanic kit
Printed vouchers or prize tokens for grab games, tablet or QR data-capture station, and a branded share prompt positioned in the camera line.
How much does brand activation hire cost?
Every booking is quoted individually rather than from a published rate, because duration, siting, hours, theming and location change the cost significantly. Longer runs are quoted at a lower daily rate.
Activation quotes are built from the same elements as any hire — duration, siting, hours, crew and travel — plus the print and design work your branding needs.
Bespoke artwork is the main difference from a standard themed hire. It's a one-off cost per campaign, and it's reusable if you run the same activation again or take it on tour.
Multi-city roadshows are quoted as a single programme. Because the crew, kit and dressing travel together, the per-day cost falls the more dates you add.
What affects the price?
Six things move a quote more than anything else: how long you need it, whether it's indoors or out, the hours you want it crewed, the theming, the location and the add-ons.
Length of hire
A one-day activation carries the same delivery, install and de-rig as a five-week run, so longer bookings are quoted at a lower daily rate.
Indoor or outdoor siting
Outdoor sites need ballast, weather monitoring and sometimes a generator. Indoor sites are usually simpler to run but often have out-of-hours load-in windows.
Opening hours and crew
Crew is costed against the hours you want the globe live. Extended evenings or multi-session days need a second crew member.
Theming and branding
Standard themed dressing is included. Bespoke printed wraps, custom interior backdrops and additional props are quoted on top.
Location and access
We cover the whole of Great Britain. Distance, congestion or clean-air charges and awkward load-in routes all affect logistics.
Add-ons
Hosts, performers, photo backdrops and share prompts, queue management and extra props are priced individually, so you only pay for the ones you use.
Print and design
Full exterior wraps cost more than an interior backdrop alone, and artwork produced by us rather than supplied to template adds design time.
Prizes and giveaways
Prize stock, sampling product and printed collateral are either supplied by you or sourced and quoted separately.
How long does it take?
Quotes come back within 48 hours, four to six weeks is a comfortable booking lead time, and installation takes around two to three hours on a prepared site; de-rig is planned separately.
- Enquiry to quote
- Within 48 hours. We confirm globe and crew availability for your dates and send a written quote with theming options.
- Booking lead time
- Four to six weeks is comfortable for a standard hire. Christmas dates are the exception — the best slots are usually taken by late summer.
- Bespoke artwork
- Allow three weeks from artwork sign-off for printed wraps and interior backdrops. This is the most common cause of a rushed build.
- Install and de-rig
- Install and dressing takes around two to three hours on a prepared site; de-rig and clearance is under two hours. Both can run outside your trading hours.
- Roadshow planning
- Allow six to eight weeks for a multi-city tour so site permissions and travel can be sequenced properly.
What are the most common mistakes?
Five recur often enough that we check for them at booking. Each one is cheap to avoid at the planning stage and expensive to discover on install day.
| Mistake | Where we see it | How to avoid it |
|---|---|---|
| Treating the globe as the whole activation | Brand campaigns with no capture or follow-up | Add a share prompt, a data capture step or a prize mechanic. The globe creates the moment; the mechanic gives it a job. |
| Booking the space before checking the headroom | Indoor atriums with low service bulkheads and hanging Christmas decor | Confirm 4 m clear height at the exact position, not the room average, before the space is signed off. |
More of what we have observed, measured and changed is in inside the globe.
How does it compare with the alternatives?
Against bigger builds it wins on footprint, lead time and cost; against passive dressing or digital-only campaigns it wins on dwell time and content. Its limit is capacity — roughly 20 groups an hour.
| Option | Best for | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Branded walk-in globe | A dwell-time photo moment with your message in every shot and a natural data-capture point. | Around 20 groups an hour, so it's a quality-of-engagement play rather than a mass-sampling one. |
| Sampling team or roaming brand ambassadors | High-volume product trial and reach across a large site. | Very little dwell time, weak photo output and no destination for people to head towards. |
| Bespoke custom-built set | A completely unique structure tied to one creative idea. | Much higher cost, longer lead time, and new risk assessments and structural sign-off each time. |
| Selfie station or AR mirror | Cheap, fast content capture in a very small space. | Far less spectacle, no queue-as-signal effect and much lower stopping power. |
| Paid media only | Targeted reach without logistics. | No physical experience and no organic content generated by the audience. |
What does it look like in practice?
These are the formats we're booked for most often. Each one is written up in full in the typical install formats below.
- A product launch using the Cash Grabber Globe as a prize game with opt-in capture at the exit.
- A premium brand running the Golden Ball Globe as a launch content set for press and influencers.
- A sponsor activating at a Christmas market with a branded exterior wrap and a themed interior backdrop.
- A retailer running a three-city roadshow with identical dressing, crew and mechanic at each stop.
What do we know that a brochure won't tell you?
Four things decide whether an activation feels calm and successful or stretched and apologetic. They come from running these, not from selling them.
Design the exit, not just the entry
The moment a guest steps out — photo delivery, prize, sample, opt-in — is where the campaign actually converts. Activations that only plan the inside leave that value on the floor.
One message, not five
Guests read the interior backdrop for a few seconds while holding a phone. A single line and a logo consistently outperform a dense layout.
Brief the crew like staff, not suppliers
Our crew deliver whatever script you give them. The strongest activations we run supply a short, specific brief rather than leaving the message to chance.
Reuse the wrap
Artwork is a one-off cost that survives the campaign. Planning a second date at the point of design makes the print spend look very different.
Frequently asked questions
The questions that come up in almost every enquiry, answered up front.
Can the globe be fully branded to our guidelines?
Yes. Exterior wrap, base skirt and interior backdrop are printed to your artwork or brand guidelines. We supply templates and need around three weeks from sign-off.
Can you run a prize game inside the globe?
Yes — the Cash Grabber build is designed for timed grab mechanics using vouchers, tokens or branded prizes, with the crew running the format for you.
Can we capture data at the activation?
Yes, most often by delivering the guest's photo to a branded microsite in exchange for an opt-in. You remain the data controller for anything collected.
Do you take the activation to multiple cities?
Yes. Roadshows are quoted as one programme with the same build, crew and mechanic at each stop, which reduces the per-day cost.
What do you need from our agency?
Artwork to template, the campaign message and mechanic, prize or sample stock if you're supplying it, and the site contact for access and permissions.
Brief us on your campaign
Send the objective, the dates and the sites. We'll come back with the build, the mechanic, the print requirement and a costed programme.
